The works are all owned by Appleton native Bill Heeter, who now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It's two collections of original art from these two holiday classics - the 1966 animated television special "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" and the 1993 stop-motion feature "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - that each are their own exhibitions that opened Saturday and will be on display at the downtown Appleton art museum through Feb. Too bad his computer-animated tale from a decade ago has mostly been forgotten.
